Utras you rock, but Traffic Sports/Aaron Davidson sucks!!

Support Soccer in South Florida! Stop hating, you are not doing any good with it. Only hurting our chances of ever getting MLS in South Florida.

Anonymous said...

I think this meeting in Hollywood should be an organizational meeting for MLS not supporting Davidson and Traffic.

Want MLS you need to go and get it. Traffic/Aaron doesn't care or want MLS. He would love for you the Ultras to fail In your MLS dreams.

Uncle Ed said...

The Meeting will cover everything soccer including MLS, Strikers, WPS, the Gold Cup and so on.
One goes with the other. Garber said we need to prove ourselves and the best way of doing it is by supporting our local team and any friendlies in our area.
Besides, where else are we going to practice our chants?

We already have a local team and that is an advantage in the effort to bring MLS back. The Sons of Ben in Philadelphia did not have a local team, so they went to DC United and Red Bull games to show their support for soccer. The closet D1 team to South Florida is Atlante in Cancun, Mexico, so we can't do what the SoBs did.

Even if you don't like Traffic, if good crowds show up to see the Strikers then that will entice them or other investors to take a chance on South Florida again when it comes to MLS. Vancouver and Seattle are not the same ownerships they had in USL. The original owners are still involved but more investors got on board when they went for MLS. People supported those teams when they were in D2, and it made those cities impossible for MLS and investors to ignore. There is no good reason why we can't do the same thing here with the Strikers.

MLS Expansion 2013 in the South East. Miami, Miami.

Anonymous said...

If you want expansion support the Strikers. It's as simple as that.

Interesting meeting. Much discussed. You'll see more in the future, I'm sure.

If you want expansion support the MLS to Miami. It's as simple as that.

If you want MLS in Miami don't support the (new) Strikers. If you really loved the original Strikers don't support this phony, half asked imitation. I wish the trademark for the Ft Lauderdale Strikers was not available, so Traffic could not use it and ruin it the way they did Miami FC.

Traffic is a cancer on south Florida soccer.

Traffic/Aaron is a cancer on south Florida soccer.

"Half asked" Are you being remarkably polite? Or remarkably ignorant?

Hate the Strikers as you will. They are all we have and are our only ticket to MLS, no matter where the MLS team may be located. And, shock of shocks, Traffic very well may NOT be involved with that franchise. But, they & the Strikers are our only proof to MLS that we might deserve one. So, shoot yourself in the foot if you want to, but please extract your head from your "ask" & understand that YOUR stupidity may well kill any chance we have for MLS.

They way I look at it, hating does not help, but supporting Traffic is difficult.

Anonymous said...

I understand and agree with you, Erick, but we really don't have any other options right now. I hate to think of Traffic as our sugardaddy, but that seems to be it for now.

Anonymous said...

Traffic is soccer killers. They don't care.

Anonymous said...

Traffic is not our only ticket to MLS. Don't be fools.

Anonymous said...

Traffic is only interested in buying young players cheap and parking them on teams they own and then selling them. Look at what a mess they made of Gale.

Fool me once shame on me. I thought Miami FC was going to big with Romario and Zinho from the start. Instead it was just a place to park third rate players and kill south Florida as a market.

Fool me twice, shame on me. The idea of Traffic using the Fort Lauderdale Strikers name is an insult to anyone who loves soccer and cares about the legacy of that great team. The original Strikers had the best players in the world, marketed the hell out of the whole area from Homestead to Jupiter and gave our community pride. We loved the Strikers wherever you were, Dade, Broward, Palm Beach. Traffic HAS NO BUSINESS OR RIGHT TO CHEAPEN THIS LEGACY in an attempt to con fans while all they do is park second rate players who they want to sell on. Oh, and the original Strikers usually kept the same players from year to year, recognizable names we loved.

Anonymous said...

You suck Traffic. Sell the team.

Anonymous said...

We need to organize and stop the Strikers name from being cheapened. Traffic has already turned the whole nation against Miami saying it sucks with their joke of a team, joke stadium and no advertising. Now they are doing the same in Fort Lauderdale effectively destroying the SoFla market forever in this sport. They will ruin the Strikers name, one of the biggest in American soccer. They cannot be trusted with this legacy. We must stop them. Ultras you need to join us. Let a real owner, with a real plan to market and win on the field use the Strikers name, not Traffic!

Fans against Traffic Sports said...

Ultras and other soccer fans join us. We WANT A REAL OWNER. TRAFFIC WILL DESTROY THE STRIKERS. They are giving Garber false information about South Florida soccer market.

HG said...

It's embarrassing what Traffic is doing to south Florida soccer

Anonymous said...

The way to stop Traffic and the destruction of the Strikers name and legacy is to urge the USSF to REJECT the sanctioning of the NASL. I'd rather USL come down and do what they tried to do at the Cricket Stadium and market it right for a third division than to continue with more of Traffic's b/s.

Ultras you need to join us. Save professional soccer in South Florida and our hopes of MLS. Reject Traffic and NASL.

Anonymous said...

OK, Traffic/Striker haters, how do you propose to get MLS to South Florida?

Please keep in mind that Don Garber said unequivocally that we must support the team that we have, plus any and all international games, friendlies or CONCACAF Gold Cup matches, in order to be considered by MLS as a viable market. No pipe dreams about a rich sugardaddy helping us out, none exist right now. Just let us know how killing the tam that we have will help us get MLS. We all await your answer.

Fans against Traffic Sports said...

Aaron and Garber are in bed together. Garber need players from Traffic so they going to say whatever. Do great at the Gold Cup. and other international games. MLS is not too far way. Don't let Aaron fill your heads with false information.

Anonymous said...

We are group larger than the Ultras and we are here to open your eyes. Want MLS stay away from the Strikers.

Anonymous said...

Please tell us how you know that
MLS is not far away. Where does this come from?

And how do you know you are larger than the Ultras?

You people, or individual, are full of definitive, absolute statements with nothing to back them up but your say so. I hope you can do better than that.

Anonymous said...

MLS will come to South Florida. Forget what Aaron Davidson tells you Ultras. Go to the games. but don't fall for what they are tell you. They will bring down soccer in South Florida if we let them.

Anonymous said...

We are here to help you see the true about Traffic Sports./ Aaron Davidson.

Antique said...

Did any of you attend the meeting with Garber? Do you understand what he said about MLS returning to South Florida?

Are you willing to meet with the Ultras, etc to explain your position and what you see for our getting MLS to return? Or are you just going to take pot shots at our efforts online to accomplish your goals?

Also, do you want MLS to return to South Florida or Miami?

Drop the hate and an let everyone know what your plans are to bring back MLS. Please.

Anonymous said...

We want MLS return to South Florida. Our goal is to see Traffic Sports out of South Florida.

Antique said...

That's not an answer or a plan. That's wishful thinking. I guess the ideas that Garber presented are beyond your understanding.

Stew in your hatred. You've nothing else to offer.

Anonymous said...

Antigue we will see if we are right or not.

Antique said...

Yes, we will see.

And what is your Plan B for the inevitable failure of Traffic / Strikers? Nothing but more wishful thinking & whining?

For the record: if someone with deep pockets does come along & purchase the Strikers with the intent of getting them into MLS, I'd be delighted. I don't see that happening yet. It may if the investor sees a viable fanbase that actually supports their local team. But who would buy into an area when the fanbase not only tries to scuttle the ship, but the lifeboat along with it? Think of that while you try to destroy the Strikers.

You may get your wish, but it will be one of the most pyrrhic victorys imaginable if we lose our chance of MLS returning.

Anonymous said...

Antigue, believe me if Traffic Sports stay in South Florida we will have no chance at MLS. They hve made South Florida a soccer waste land.

Antique said...

Whatever.

Since you offer nothing to replace them I'll support the Strikers as best I can, all the while hoping that your actions, whoever you are, don't make don't do us in. They at least offer a glimmer of hope. You offer nothing but negativism and hatred. Not exactly a formula for success on your part.

Traffic Sports is robbing you all blind of a chance to see better, top soccer. Traffic need to sell the team.
